WHAT IS aEVICTION PREVENTION
PROGRAM?

Our program provides support to marginalized and BIPOC families, with a priority focus on Black families. OWIES connects families to a one-time rental assistance funds covering 12 months of back rent and past-due utilities. We also assist with security deposits and rental application fees.

For emergency rental assistance, we prioritize clients who have past-due and eviction notices. Please do note that we do not provide assistance for future rent.

Are you facing eviction because you're behind on your rent and utilities?

Are you living in a shelter, Safe Stay, or couch surfing?

Do you need help with getting into more permanent house?

Cannot have a household income the exceeds 50% of the AMI for its size

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Must be requesting assistance for a residence that is within Vancouver, WA city limits

Must referred by parter organizations

As of June 21st we disbursed $108,879.55 in rental assistance to Vancouver Citizens.

We've assisted 78 official clients and received numerous additional calls and emails.

With limited rental assistance available each month, our goal is to help at least 5 families monthly.

As of June 30, 2025, our Eviction Prevention Project project will be concluding. Please note that funding is limited, and we are working diligently to make the most of the remaining resources. We appreciate your support and engagement throughout this initiative.
